Blended Land and SST definition.

LandSST describes University of East Anglia 5° area land surface temperature anomalies combined with 5° area MOHSST6 sea surface temperature anomalies with respect to 1961 to 1990 climatology. The period of the data is 1851-1995.

The dataset is based on work described by Jones, P.D., 1994 (see Ref. 2) and Parker, D.E. et al., 1995 (see Ref. 3).
