Ozone Lidar

A. Carswell, S. Pal, J. Bird, and J. Whiteway (ISTS) - DIAL system (XeCl excimer laser similar to that at Toronto; 43.8°N, 79.5°W) deployed in February 1993. Present operations are winter season, nighttime only. Additional detectors to be added for improved profile measurements. Also retrieves temperature and aerosols.

Aerosol Lidar

O. Uchino and T. Nagai (MRI) and A. Carswell (ISTS) - Nd:YAG lidar (1064 and 532 nm; dual polarization) deployed in February 1993. Present operations are winter only.

FTIR

H. Fast (AES) and Y. Makino (MRI) - Bomem DA8 system tested at Tsukuba (36.05°N, 140.13°E) and deployed at Eureka in February 1993.

Ozonesondes
