ATSR Average Sea Surface Temperature Products

The ATSR project has produced monthly maps of Average Sea Surface Temperature (ASST) from the ATSR-2 instrument from data processed at RAL. These will be added to as data becomes available. ASST data and monthly maps from the ATSR-1 instrument (August 1991 to June 1995) will start to become available sometime in early 1999.

The ASST images have been arranged as a year by year from the beginning of the ATSR-2 mission in May 1995, up to and including the most recent set of quality assured data. Users should be aware that an anomaly occured from 22nd December 1995 to 30th June 1996 and that no data is available for this period. GIF files are available as follows:
